The Runaway Dog
Although dogs may run away from their owners, not every single dog has the ID badge attached to its collar. Many cats don’t have collars at all. If let loose on the street, the animal may get missing easily. Once captured, the animal will be taken off the street and placed into shelter. But how do you know if your pet has been found and transported to a shelter? And which shelter would that be anyway? ARoglyph marks let pet owners and those who found them communicate via location-dependent marks.
Mark
Have you found an animal running loose? Let its owner know by placing a mark on the map, telling which animal that was and maybe attaching a picture. Make sure your note is up to the point.
Have you found an animal running loose? Let its owner know by placing a mark on the map, telling which animal that was and maybe attaching a picture. Make sure your note is up to the point. “A big black dog” is certainly better than nothing, but if you know it’s a Newfoundland, that could be a great help. Leaving some sort of contact information can also come handy. And since you could meet the pet anywhere (e.g. in a park), ARoglyph’s ability to place marks anywhere and not just bound to an address is exactly what’s required.
Before you place your own mark, have a look at ARoglyph’s mark list. Maybe there is another mark there left by the pet owner? If so, you can simply comment on that existing mark telling the pet owner you’ve just seen the animal.
Share
Sharing your mark is essential for the pet owner to see it. ARoglyph was designed with community-based sharing in mind, so your new mark will only be visible to those who come around it. You can set how far away from the mark they must be in order to be able to see it.
Going Advanced
You can share the created mark in social networks, increasing its exposure and at the same time indicating the particular location of the found animal. Others can comment the mark, checking if it’s their animal found or providing you with information about how to feed the animal until they come to pick it.
